What is the Bridging Program?

(Bridging Program 이란?)

The Bridging Program is for low-income seniors and disabled individuals who have been isolated in their homes for a long time. This program allows for supportive emergency services, such as providing meals and hospital ride/translation services, and connecting communities to those who do not any family or caregivers.

(장기간 자택에서 고립되어있는 저소득 시니어 및 장애인들 중 도움을 받을 가족이나 간병인이 없는 분들께 식사, 병원 이용 등필요한 긴급 서비스를 지원하고 커뮤니티 연결하는 프로그램)

Who are the senior supporters?

(시니어 서포터즈란?)

Senior supporters are a professional volunteer group for senior care, which is no ordinary volunteering.

(단순한 자원봉사 활동을 넘어 시니어 케어를 위한 전문봉사단 양성을 목적으로 하는 모임)

Support for professional volunteer activities: a small amount of activity fee, support for COVID-19 prevention products, support for regular meetings and mentor-mentee system, rewards for excellent volunteers, etc.

(전문봉사단 활동 지원: 소정의 활동비 지급, 코비드 방역 물품 지원, 정례 모임 지원 및 멘토 멘티제 운영, 우수봉사자 선정 및 포상 등)

Establishment of Korean caregiver service network: Providing and connecting resource information necessary for senior care [basic social welfare service education, various utility rate discount programs, etc.]

(한인 간병인 서비스 네트워크 구축: 시니어 케어에 필요한 리소스 정보 제공 및 연결 [기본 사회복지 서비스 교육, 각종 공공요금 할인 프로그램 등])

IHSS caregiver support: (if you wish) support for the County IHSS Provider Licensing process support [online enrollment, orientation, interpretation of the interview, applying for provider insurance, submission of online timesheets, other paperwork, etc.]

(IHSS 간병인 활동 지원: (본인 희망시) IHSS provider 자격증 취득 전과정 지원, 간병인 혜택 안내 및 신청 지원, 관련 서류 업무 지원, 환자 소개)
